Mentors are people with disabilities who have school and work experience, and who are volunteering their time help answer your questions and guide you on your journey. Mentors are expected to reply to communications initiated by Mentees a minimum of one time, within 7 days of outreach. Beyond this, individual Mentors will set clear limits about contact frequency, i.e.: I am open to receiving e-mails from Mentees once a week, or once a month, or once a year, etc...The advice and opinions of Mentors are solely their own and are not endorsed by REACH Mentoring. Mentees are college students with disabilities, who are over the age of 18 years. Please visit our Meet the Mentors page and REACH out to a Mentor with whom you would be interested in getting to know. Start by introducing yourself and describing where your interests lie. Please be considerate of your Mentor's time. They are volunteers and do not get paid. Here are a few questions to get you started. What are some things you consider when planning for the future? Why did you choose this career path? What is one thing you would have done differently? How do you respond to people when they ask you about your disability? In what way has your disability been a challenge for you? In what way does your disability become an asset?
